THE
EARLY CHRISTIAN SAINTS
IN IRELAND & THE BRITISH ISLANDS
A Directory that holds the key to the Spiritual Inheritance of all the British & Irish people

ABOUT US
We are a small group of Orthodox Christians living and working in Glastonbury in the UK, as well as doing a little bit of missionary work in the area. Glastonbury is known as the birthplace of Christianity in the United Kingdom.
Recently, we received a prophecy from St Porphyrios of Kafsokalyvia, relayed to us through the son of the late Fr Konstantinos Ganotis, a Greek Orthodox priest who was a spiritual child of the Saint. His son, Fr Georgios Ganotis, is the priest of a relatively newly established chapel, the Celt Saints Chapel in Athens. He informed us that St Porphyrios prophesied that when the Irish & British learn about the Christian Saints in Britain & Ireland from the early centuries, they will return to Orthodoxy. This was likely the reason the Saint instructed the construction of a unique and little-known chapel dedicated to the Orthodox Celtic Saints within the Holy Convent of Metamorphosis Sotiros at Milesi in Attica. However, this was not the first time we heard this prophecy. The first occurred when an English Orthodox priest, Fr Yves Dybois, who serves at the Orthodox Parish of Saint John of Kronstadt, heard a similar statement from the other great Greek Saint of our times, St Paisios the Athonite, during his visit to the Saint's cell in Panagouda on Mt Athos.
Seeing it as a sign, we have undertaken the task of compiling an online synaxarion (directory), gathering as much information as we can physically find to give you a small idea of the stories that shaped Orthodox Christianity up until the schism of the Christian Church in 1054 AD. We hope you find it inspirational.
